The Town of Pennington is seeking local farms to be included in our bio-solids program. We are looking for farmers who have 25 acres or more of usable land that is relatively level and mostly rock free. We make every effort to recycle our bio-solids and need your help in making this possible. Some benefits of recycling bio-solids include reducing the use of commercial fertilizers and free soil testing. We are self-sufficient, providing the labor and equipment at no cost to the farmer. Bio-solids are a renewable resource, recovered during the process of cleaning waste water, that contains valuable nutrients and organic matter that improve soil quality. It is a treated, safe product and cost-effective alternative to fertilizer.
